Janet Phillips has been designing and weaving for over 40 years after studying industrial Textile Design at the Scottish College of Textiles, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree. She is the author of two monumental books, Designing Woven Fabrics, and Exploring Woven Fabrics. In her presentation, Janet discussed her design processes in detail while encouraging weavers to explore design through sampling before committing to a path forward for a project.
